still alive
So Caroline gets off the bus today and she has a friend with her. This friend has spent the night several times. Here's the twist: I did not tell C she could have a friend over, she just told her friend this week at school it would be okay. Then she plays it off (smart kid) and is like, "You said she could sleep over, right?"
I already know what my house is going to be like when C is a teenager. It will be the gathering place for all other teenagers. I will have like 5 teenagers in my house ALL THE TIME. I suppose I could try to prevent it, but really, is it possible to stop fate? Go with the flow, that's what I say.
Jen and Crow and Lynze and two teenagers were here last weekend. It was a great time! We had lots of fun.
I have all the poems and stories picked out for the OP issue. Collin--did you get my email?
Other than the above, I have been enjoying the marvelous weather . . .

Thanks for picking those poems, Jenni. Glad to see you're still alive, too. :)
I saw a copy of August Keinzahler's Green Sees Things In Waves at the used bookstore and bought it.
My email to you keeps bouncing back. Why can't all the email people work together? :)
Are you going to AWP in Chicago?
Jen & Crow--would love to see you both again. Many hugs and kisses!
